The Great Kern County Fair
This past weekend we took the kids to the fair. It was the last day because all the other days we were going to go, the kids had been sick. It was really hot but luckily there were very few people there. We went through the exhibits and looked at all the cool stuff. When we went to look at the animals they were all gone!! We were so disappointed. I didn't even think that they would have gotten rid of them by then. All there were were a few pigs waiting for slaughter. We had a some really yummy snacks and then capped the day with a few rides. It was really fun and the kids all had a good time.

Student of the Month
We were so proud of our little munchkins this month. At the school they honor a kid from each class each month based on a certain theme. This month the theme was responsibility. I got a letter in the mail saying that Zeke and Sadie had been selected by their teachers and that it was a surprise. We went to the assembly and when they walked in they both smirked and thought the other one had got it. To their surprise they both had been selected!!! Way to go to Armijo kids. Mommy and Daddy are proud of you!!!!

Soccer Saturday
This past Saturday I was good enough to bring the camera but was didn't have time to get too many pictures. We had a good day. My team had their first win, 4-3. Payton scored 4 goals after some amazing break aways. Sadie did a fabulous job on defense shutting down the opposition. She is a scrappy little fart. Zeke's team had their first win and he even scored a goal. He is so funny. His team is made up of about four obese little boys. None of them want to move so they all stand down by the goal and "play goalie" so they don't have to run. They all had a good time though and the first thing out of their mouths when the won was, "Now we can have pizza!!"

Just a preview of my crazy girls team. Notice the 5'7",160lb 9 year old next to the 4'5", 65lb 8 yr old. I call her the tree because she just stands in the middle of the field and doesn't move. If the ball rolls by she just sticks out her foot.

Zeke always has this serious look on his face when running after the ball. When he makes a play he stops and puts his hands on his hips like his Grandpa Mike and watches the play unfold.

First Day of School
Today was Caelyn's first day of school. She had to be 2 to start so there we were bright and early this morning. As we pulled into the parking lot she saw the playground toys and started saying, "Thank you Mommy, Oh, thank you Mommy!!" Over and over. It was so cute. It sure made my life easier. The kids and I walked her in and showed her the room and she made a couple of friends. When I went to pick her up she was happy and bouncing around. It was a great day for her and for mommy!!!

My Baby is 2!!!
Sept. 10 was Caelyn's second birthday. We started out the day with photo gallery. She was so cooperative but she never smiles. We were able to crack a few smiles so here are her cute pictures.

As far as a party we decided to keep it low key and just opened her presents here with just the family. We got her a little cake and sang to her. She was quite happy. She loves kitchen stuff so she has been busy "cooking" ever since. Happy Birthday Caelyn!!

First Soccer Game
Boy, well today was our first game. I was nervous because our team is quite a hodge podge of players. I have a girl that is bigger than me and probably outwieghs me by about 30lbs. I have another who is autistic. Then I have three others who have never played. That leaves me with Payton, Sadie and to other girls who have played but who are about average. What is a coach to do? We started out with Payton scoring two goals but it soon unraveled. They caught on to our weakness and it was down hill from there. My goalies wouldn't pick up the ball. My defense thought it important to kick the ball to the middle of the field. I had one player who dribbled down and tried to score on her own team!!! Yikes! I thought we had really covered a lot in practice but boy was I wrong. I guess this next week it will be back to the drawing board. I wish I could suit up and be out there with them. I will try to get some pictures so you can visualize my plight!! Pray for us!!!
Happy Birthday Payton
Well, Payton has finally turned 10. She woke up that morning to tell me, "Double Digits, Mom. Double Digits." It has begun!! We had quite a little shindig for her at the house. I let her invite a bunch of school friends and of course family. We rented a water slide and the kids had a blast. She really made out like a bandit gift wise. Now of course it is off to Target and the mall!! She has really started growing up and while it is a bit of challenge. She has been such a good girl. I am so proud of her!! We love you Payton!!
