CALM lights

We made it to the CALM light show this year. Caelyn hasn't been since she was soooo little so it was new and exciting for her. The kids rode the merry go round and we waited in the never ending line to ride the train. The kids had hot chocolate and seemed to have fun.

Xmas time

We have been busy with kid activities etc... There have been Xmas programs for all the kids. Payton with choir, Sadie orchestra, Zeke with flutophone and Caelyn singing. Busy times!! Here are a few pictures. Sorry Zeke, my camera was dead :(

Veteran's Day Parade

We went to the Veteran's day parade yesterday. It was a little long but fun for the kids to see the bands and floats. Caelyn's favorite were the "Princess'". She got a little bored as you can see, but seemed to like it.

Soccer Pics

Here are a few pictures of the girls playing soccer. I can never get any good action shots cause I am so caught up in the game. They have had a good season. They are tied for first with another team that they will play next weekend. Good Luck!!

Trunk or Treat

I was downloading my pictures, trying to catch up and found these I took when we went with Michael and Jaime and the kids to their trunk or treat. They all looked so cute and had such a good time with their cousins!!

Afterlife

Grandpa finally went to be with Grandma yesterday at 1:31pm. I can't think of a better way to go than to be surrounded by your children and have your eternal mate waiting for you on the other end. As we visited after Grandpa passed we were saying they are now together, looking fine and fabulous, celebrating like no other. I found these two pictures and like to think this is what they look like now, young, healthy and they were some beautiful people!! we come from good stock!!! We love you both and miss you Grandpa and Grandma!!!

The Great American Patriot

I think all of us have been very aware of our mortality lately and I have been reliving memories and thoughts constantly as we watch the gentle passing of our sweet Grandpa. He is one of the best men I know and I have always been so proud to be his granddaughter. I have nothing but pride to say he is my grandpa and have been so touched by the love so many people have expressed. He has touched so many lives and has made such an impact on this earth. I can only imagine the rejoicing our family and friends have begun in heaven as they know he will be with them soon, especially our sweet Grandma Bettie Jean. For those of you who haven't been able to be here with him physically, know that he is peaceful and with us all in our thoughts and prayers. He is happy to be in his home and to be completing this journey. It was what he wanted and I am so glad that we can all be there to give him this opportunity and be with him. You cannot help but feel all the love surrounding him. I found these pictures of him with all our little children and can't help but think I hope they will know what an amazing great grandpa they have. The other picture is what he loved to do, take his little naps. He is definetly doing that now. We love you grandpa!!

Halloween Carnival

This Friday the kids had their annual school Halloween carnival. They get so excited to go and it is a good trial run for Halloween so we went. This year Payton has decided to be the Notre Dame Leprachaun. Mom made the outfit and it was so cute. She wore it today to Zeke's football game since they are the Irish. She was a hit and the coaches had her run out with the boys and she cheered them on. They even asked her to stay for the next age bracket's game. We will get some use for that one. Sadie wanted to be a "dead" doll. Half of her was supposed to be torn up and the other messed up. She is such a funny girl. Zeke and Hayden went as the new Tweedledumb and Tweedledee. Mom made those costumes too. They looked so cute and a little girl went as the Queen of Hearts. Everyone was taking pictures of them. Caelyn was Tiana from Princess and the Frog. She kept looking at herself in the mirror and saying she looked "beautiful." She loved wearing makeup and getting her hair done up. She was a bit frustrated that she couldn't suck her thumb though cause it would mess up her lipstick. Maybe I should use that to get her to stop! Thank you Mom and Jaime for all the costume help. Halloween will be great!!

Raider Game

This past weekend we got to go to the Raider game with some of the parents from the girl's soccer team. The seats were pretty high up but not bad. It was at Candlestick park vs the 49ers. I was nervouse about how rowdy the crowd would get but everyone just teased eachother. It was fun. We spent the night in San Franscisco and went to Pier 39 for some awesome seafood. It was a lot of fun, even though the Raiders lost!

Color Guard Captain

This year Sadie was old enough to run for office at school. After some coaxing she decided to run for Color Guard captain. She was so funny about the whole thing too. She kept telling her friends "it's all about the speech." We racked our brain and decided to go with her dramatic flare and wrote a rap song for her speech. I was soo nervous for her. She was running against 4 other kids who all got up and gave their little speeches about the american flag etc... Sadie got up there and got the students clapping and did her little rap. I couldn't believe she had the guts to do it but it paid off. She was elected and they had a nice inauguration ceremony for the kids. They invited people from the community to swear them in. Sadie's job is to lead the flag salute in the assemblies. She is a silly girl.

student of the month

Little Sadie was student of the month for her class for "responsibility." She was so excited.

Red Rock Relay

I know this is late but I thought I would put up a few pictures from our relay we did in September. It was sooo hard but such fun to be with family. We had a great time struggling together thru no food, no sleep and lots of pain!! I can't say that I am game to do it again but it was a great experience and we have a great family!!! Great job everyone!!

Disneyland

Well, we decided it was time for Miss Caelyn to get to go to Disneyland. Since her birthday is Friday we tried to find a day we could go between soccer, school and football. It turned out that we rolled the dice and went on Labor Day weekend. I know, Crazy right? It actually turned out pretty good. It was crowded but we were able to go on everything and only had to wait in a few longer lines for about 20min. Thank heaven for FastPass!! We spent two days, one at Disneyland and one at California Adventure. Little Caelyn had a blast. She loved it, especially It's a Small World and Finding Nemo. She went on Tower of terror, Thunder Mountain Railroad and the Matterhorn. She loved the roller coasters but didn't enjoy Tower of Terror too much. Neither did I, Ha!! Caelyn asked me if we could leave her there. I can't wait to go again!!
