New Job!!!!
A couple of weeks ago I was taking care of a kid who had drowned and the Organ Donor coordinator came in to evaluate him for brain death. She grabbed me and said she wanted me to apply for her position because she had taken a supervisor position. I talked to Teddy about it and thought it would be a great opportunity to learn something new and be involved in something so amazing. Sooooo, I applied and interviewed yesterday. They called and offered me the job!! I am so excited and so scared!! I have worked at Mercy for 10 years and have so much control because I do the schedule and can work when I want. This is new unchartered territory so I am sure initially it will be a big change for the family but in the end it will be better. I will be on call 10 24 hours shifts a month. Most of the time you get called to go out and evaluate patients for an hour here and there unless you have a donor you will work the full 24 hours. They do about 1 donor a month. So hopefully, I will have great opportunities to work and learn and then more time at home with the family!! I will keep you posted.

Triathalon
Today there was a kids triathalon at Cal State Bakersfield. A PE student was putting it on as his senior project. The girls decided they wanted to participate so we headed out there on this rainy, cold day. It was a lot of fun. They had to swim 50yds, Bike 2 miles and run 1/2 a mile. It took about 20 minutes. They were so tired after they were done. Here are some pictures of them during the race. Good job girls!!
Here are the girls with their numbers.
They each got a cute little medal

Sadie's 9th Birthday
Here is a picture of Sadie as a newborn. Not my favorite of her but she sure has gotten cuter as she has gotten older. For her birthday we had a full day. We started out with strawberry pancakes for breakfast. Then the kids went to their golf clinic and had good time learning how to hit their irons. Then we went to Jamba Juice and picked up her little friend, Stevie. We took them all to see "Up" which was sooo cute. After that we went swimming, had pizza, cake and ice cream and finished up the night with the Stevie spending the night. I think she had a good birthday. It was low key for us and only our little family but it was fun. Happy birthday Sadie!!!
