Oops I Did it again!

Well, I am sad to report that we had to visit the Urgent care for another round of stitches. My little miss Caelyn had her previous stitches removed yesterday morning. We were at my soccer game and right before my second game was about to start the kids come running saying Caelyn's chin is bleeding. My heart sank and as I ran up to her sure enough she had blood everywhere. She layed the gash right open again by riding a skateboard on her tummy and hitting her chin on the edge. It was worse this time because she knew what was coming and was not happy about it. I grabbed all the kids and we headed over to the Urgent care. Talk about embarassing. The nurse that took care of her last week was the same guy. He kept joking from then on out that he didn't want to see us back there next week!! I was waiting for CPS to arrive!! Anyway, we had 6 stitches this time and I am putting her in a bubble for the next couple of weeks. Ha!! Hopefully she will learn her lesson and quit trying to play like she is 10!!

End of the Year!

Here are a few shots from the end of the year fun. Payton was graduating from 6th grade and they had a fun party with a rock wall, obstacle course, water etc... Sadie's little class had a luau and pizza so Teddy and I came to the school to visit them and hang out. Of course the end of the year also brings awards assemblies and they all did really well. We are so proud of them!! Good job kids!

Caelyn's Date with Disaster

Well, I first must apologize for how much I hate my camera but here are a few pictures of my baby's first tragic injury. Sunday after church Zeke and Caelyn were playing by his basketball hoop when for some unexplained reason she fell and hit her chin on the sidewalk. All Teddy and I heard were the kids screaming that Caelyn was bleeding but as typical parents of multiple kids we just ignored them and told them to bring her in. Sure enough Sadie comes carrying Caelyn with blood running down her neck and upon further inspection we had a nice gash across the bottom. I took her to urgent care to see what they thought and sure enough she required stitches. After tying her down to the papoose board she started to cry. That was the first time really during the whole ordeal. She hardly cried when she hurt it. I had to talk to her and calm her down promising the every important "Skittles" fix. I asked her if she should get 5 skittles and she told me, "I should get a whole lot more for this!" The doctor gave her the nasty shots in her chin which she really didn't like but after the medicine took effect she layed there so calmly and he stitched away with four Frankenstein like stitches. We went bouncing out of there so excited to show her best friend, Charlie!! We are all better now. Stitches are soon to come out and hopefully we won't do that again!!
