Spotlight of the Arts
My girls had their Spring show last night for their Magnet program. It was a great show. Sadie's tap class did "Be our Guest" from Beauty and the Beast. It was very cute. Both girls did "Wizard of Oz" for their drama class. Sadie was picked to be Dorothy and Payton was the Scarecrow. They sang and did so well. Payton's choir group did "Charlie Brown." She had a little solo in it too. We were so proud of them and they continue to surprise me with all the little things they can do. My mom was so awesome to make Sadie's costume. It was soooo cute. They wanted the Wizard of Oz to be a little more modern. Sadie wore the Ruby Sneakers instead of slippers. I will try to post the video of their play. Here are a few pictures of the girls in their costumes and after with their soccer playmates.

Juliet Thorner Award
Payton was so excited this year because she was chosen to win the Juliet Thorner Award. It is an award they give to two six grade girls from each school who have been good students and good role models. At Thorner they base it on points the girls earn by being involved in activities and doing well on their report cards. They had a nice little award ceremony for the girls and we went to ice cream after. Congrats Payton! You are growing up so fast!!

Zeke's First Holy Communion
This month was Zeke's first holy communion. For Catholics it is the first time they can take the sacrament. He had to go to classes for two years learning about Jesus and learning prayers, etc... He was so nervous. He is such a funny boy. He was chosen to bring in the wine and was very excited about that. He cracks me up with his comments. He told me the other day that his favorite color was red because it was the color of the blood of christ. Where did this kid come from! He is a good little boy and we are proud of him!
